The historic visit by Her Majesty The Queen to Hereford on Wednesday, July 11, will be filmed for posterity by a local production company.
Bubble Production, based at Hereford’s Burcott Park, will make what they describe as a “short, celebratory film” of the events on King George V playing fields near the city centre.
The Queen is coming to the city as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations and will watch music and dance performances by local children as well as visiting marquees displaying all that is good and great about Herefordshire.
Bubble managing director, Graham Essenhigh, said: “When we heard about the Queen’s visit we approached the organisers to offer our services as ‘host’ broadcaster, capturing events as they happen throughout the day, which we’ll then turn into a five or six minute film. It’s going to be a spectacularly colourful day and one we wanted to be part of.”
Herefordshire Diamond Day organising committee member, Mike Smart, said: “A film record of the events on the playing fields will be kept for future generations to see what happened on this most historic of days.”
Although Bubble is underwriting the cost of the film, it is available for sponsorship. Once editing is complete, the film will be available to buy, with the proceeds going to Herefordshire Community Foundation.
